Northwest Division Rebrand

Starting this weekend, I will be working on an NHL Rebrand Series.  Every weekend I will redo all the jersey's from a division with the help of my friend Thomas.  This week I start with the Northwest Division.

I wanted the colors of the Avalanche to look more like a mountain.  So I took away the burgundy and added more rocky colors.

I posted these jerseys a couple days ago, so I won't go through what I did.

It's similar to their current jerseys but I changed the main color to green.  I also used their unused "VC" logo.

I think the Oilers uniforms are about as perfect as they can get, so I was just playing around here.  I changed the colors, used the oil drop logo, and made the stripes closer together.

The Wild really need matching jerseys in my opinion, so I used the old North Stars jersey, but the Wild colors.

Next weekend I will not be in town, so I'm not sure when the next post will be.  I will try to make it before I leave on Thursday.

Final Draft Rankings Soon

The Central Scouting's draft rankings are soon to be fully released.  For now they have given us their top ten for each league.  It's in alphabetical order so don't freak out.

To start off, Rylen sent in a pretty nice Sarnia Sting Jersey.  I think it's his best yet.  On his concept it says it's based on a concept on HJC, but it's also based on the Islanders old alternate jersey.  The striping suits the Sting, as it looks like there are stingers on the chest.  I think it'd be a cool alternate, but without the numbers on the bottom right.  I really like the pants though.  Here it is:

For today, I made what I think is the ideal Flames set.  It's similar to their uni's now but simplified, different colors, and I used the horse logo.

And last is one of my older concepts.  I really do think that the Canucks look better in green.  At least they should make a green alternate.  As a Canucks fan, this would be acceptable to me.

Crosby Returning Tonight

It's an exciting night for the NHL.  Sidney Crosby is making his long awaited return (again).  He is, I think the best player in the league, and it's gonna be exciting to see him play again.  Plus NHL.com will stop writing about what he has for breakfast.  On tuesday, Stamkos hit the 50 goal mark with quite a few games left.  Thats insane!!  What if he gets 60 goals for the first time since ovechkin in 2008?
Today I bring you what I think the Vancouver Millionaires would look like if they were still around.  Could work as a Canucks alternate too.  It's based off the 03/04 Penguins away jersey.  The triangles on the side panels make for sort of a V effect.

And 2 hours away from my hometown Winnipeg,  here is a Brandon Wheat Kings Concept.  This was one of my first jersey concepts.  It was for a CHL redesign contest at HJC but as you can imagine, it wasn't done very well.  I have taken the time to redo it, with what I have learned.
